In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. Matthew 5:16

The Turning 2020 - a 70 day prayer and fasting event.

As we approach the 2020 ELECTIONS. Let us join together, as ONE VOICE, and we pray for our nation. We are not just praying for revival but we are praying for a REFORMATION of men’s hearts throughout the world. We need the fire of the Holy Spirit to usher in a new era of awakening around the globe. Declare these verses with me!

A. As with any time of prayer, I encourage you to begin with Praising the Lord (Psalm 150:1-6, Psalms 95:1-11, Psalm 24:8-10) for who He is and what He has done! Greet Him by lavishing your love upon and to Him!

B. Then, ask the Lord to search your heart (ASK HIM TO SHOW YOU what you don’t see in your heart) to bring those hidden things to your attention; ANYTHING that is there that is blocking your prayers from being heard.

C. Then DEAL WITH WHAT HE TELLS YOU; this is called repentance. Repentance is what cleans us, making us righteous. It opens wide heaven’s gates which allows us entrance into the throne room of grace before our Holy and Righteous God. We MUST confess our sinthis is not a one-and-done (salvation) as many people have been taught; this is a CONTINUING conversation. For clarity, we all know about the “biggie” sins (10 commandments and such, and most of us stay clear of those — right?), but those sins are not the only sins needing repentance. The Word of the Lord says this in James 4:17 — to him who knows what is right and does it not, it is sin. This is why I say we need to ask the Lord to show us because we don’t always remember our sin, or we call it other things like; procrastination, forgetfulness, we didn’t think we needed to, it was important to us... you get the idea. Father, search my heart, and know me; see if there is any wicked way in me! — Psalms 139: 23-24. We give the Lord permission to KNOW us intimately.

D. Take Communion! I HIGHLY encourage you to be taking communion; as OFTEN as you do, you are REMEMBERING HIM and PROCLAIMING HIS COMING (I Corinthians 11:25-26, Matthew 26: 26-28, Luke 22:17-20)! It was the last thing our Lord did with His disciples so let’s do this in remembrance of ALL He has done!

E. And then they sang a hymn (Matthew 26:30). So let’s Worship Him in Spirit and in Truth – John 4:24 (PSALMS 95:6, Isaiah 12:5, Psalm 29:2, Psalm 95:1-6)!

F. Regarding fasting: I encourage you to ask the Lord what He would have you fast — invite Him into the conversation. We do all everything we do WITH THE LORD! We should never think we can do ANYTHING FOR the Lord (that’s works). We INVITE HIM into every conversation and ask Him... He DELIGHTS in talking with us, His children.

May you encounter the Lord in new and glorious ways during these days leading up to the election. This is our time of decision... and GOD IS FAITHFUL to those who seek Him (Deuteronomy 7:9, I Corinthians 1:9, Psalms 91:4, 2 Thessalonians 3:3)! Friends, let’s take time to FIND the Lord while He may be found! Maranatha

And he led me around among them, and behold, there were very many on the surface of the valley, and behold, they were very dry. And he said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” And I answered, “O Lord God, you know.” Then he said to me, “Prophesy over these bones and say to them, O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord. 8. 2 Timothy 3:1-5 ESV But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.

9. Acts 2:1-47 ESV When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. 16. Isaiah 64:1-4 ESV Oh that you would rend the heavens and come down, that the mountains might quake at your presence— as when fire kindles brushwood and the fire causes water to boil— to make your name known to your adversaries, and that the nations might tremble at your presence! When you did awesome things that we did not look for, you came down, the mountains quaked at your presence. From of old no one has heard or perceived by the ear, no eye has seen a God besides you, who acts for those who wait for him.

We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day; night is coming, when no one can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”

30. Ephesians 5:14-25 ESV For anything that becomes visible is light. For we are the temple of the living God; as God said, “I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and jewels and pearls, holding in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the impurities of her sexual immorality.
