In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. Matthew 5:16

We Need to Vote!

25 Million Evangelical Christians have not registered to vote!

Father, forgive us! People, we need to encourage our Christian family members, our Christian friends, our believing neighbors about our duty as believers. We have been given this right, this privilege, this treasure, and yet many are foolishly disengaging.  This is so arrogant of us. Yep, arrogant. We are very proud; and remember what God says about that - He resists the proud. Just sayin’.

Let me explain how I land in “pride and arrogance”. Christian people, here in America, have been given so much; we have been given this by those who came before us; those who fought and died to allow us this privilege of freedom. The privilege of the vote.  Let me share where I am coming from...

My mother lived under Hitler; her sister was sent to a concentration camp for helping

German men who didn’t want to fight for the Reich. I heard, from my own mother, the hell, oppression, adversity, wickedness, and tyranny of living under such an evil government and I also heard her share the joy of being an American! She would say; this is the greatest nation in the world, there is nowhere else to go to enjoy such freedoms. I am thankful she is not here to see how close we are to losing this great nation because of our flawed beliefs, our arrogance, our complacency, and our deception.

As Americans, we are so spoiled. Yes, spoiled. We have become so arrogant; yes, even us in the church.  Let me explain in a simple format that may help you see what I am talking about.

Let’s use a simple illustration about our expectations and arrogance. We are so used to choices we don’t even cherish them, we demand them. We go to buy groceries, let’s say, just to buy ingredients for a salad. We EXPECT to have choices! We will have at least 5 kinds of lettuce to choose from, 3 types of cabbages, 2 kinds of cucumbers, 5 types of tomatoes, radishes, celery, broccoli, cauliflower, spinach, several carrots to choose from, and 30 plus choices of
dressing; or 40 or 50 different kinds. We have refrigerated jars and half an isle full of shelf-after-shelf of dressings. Go look; I am not exaggerating. We haven’t even talked about the 30, 40, 50 kinds of cheeses and then all the types of nuts, toppings. and crouton choices.

When I grew up a “salad” was a wedge of iceberg lettuce, shredded, a carrot shredded, a couple of tomatoes chopped-up, and a cucumber sliced.  We had three kinds of dressing in my refrigerator as a kid; blue cheese (for my dad), Italian (one kind), and a red or orange (Russian) kind, for the kids. That's it. Asking for choices was unheard of.  We were served a salad and we were grateful.  If you are over 50, grew up middle-class, and are reading this, then you know what I am talking about. Right?

When I traveled to Nigeria, we were told not to eat ANY fresh food; because the water that rinsed it was full of microscopic bugs that could make you sick. If you could boil the food or peel it, then eat it otherwise don’t get it. Fresh food was NOT an option... if you wanted to stay well. As you can imagine, we had a lot of rice, brown beans, and such. Ya know?

Today, I hear repeatedly when around Americans (while in their homes fellowshipping or at restaurants or church functions), questions like these; “Is that all you have?”  Or this one, “Do you have any ...”. We are not very satisfied. It seems we always want something more. Even when we are in someone’s home, with what someone is sharing with us, we want something different; something more. I have heard people asking.  Don’t believe me? Listen the next time you gather with Americans. We are high-maintenance.

I first became aware of this in my own children after we traveled to CA years ago, for my husband’s work. We were there for 3 months.  While working there, we lived in a hotel and did meals there or at restaurants.  When we came home, my very young children sat at my kitchen table, telling me what they wanted for dinner; like there was a menu.  It had been our life. One wanted hot dogs with macaroni and cheese and the other wanted pizza. I knew quickly that, “Houston, we have a problem here.” I had allowed them total freedom (as we were traveling) but now we were home and this wasn’t how things worked.  I failed to set perimeters while traveling (like having them order the same thing) and we had a few weeks of painful “re-entry” when back home. I learned a lot! We have been spoiled!

Let’s go back to the grocery store; here in America, we have every cut of meat imaginable: we have beef, chicken, turkey, Cornish hens, pork, venison, various kinds of fish, fresh and saltwater, many types of seafood, and... we haven’t even tapped on all the other sundry items like all the brands of dog food, and toilet paper, cleaners, shampoos, and toothpaste.  Y’all, we are SO SPOILED and it has made us into, dare I say, brats! We EXPECT and sometimes even DEMAND choices. Father forgive us.

I have observed over the years (as a guest in someone else’s home) a shocking display of this.  Honestly, I have several different stories, on several different occasions where I observed our selfish, American, spoiled, demanding behavior, and MOST OF US NEVER SEE IT. Let me share a couple of them with you.

When at a party, where the table was covered with food, choices, and delicacies, a young teenage man was asking the hostess for... a different thing.  I was stunned. I was hoping my mouth wasn’t agape. There was more than plenty on the table yet this individual wanted more. It wasn’t good enough. Y’all, that is why people call American’s arrogant. We just don’t get it.  My mother would say to this awkward situation of the young man asking, “they just haven’t been taught”.

When at another more intimate gathering, I have seen people go to their backpack, open their own food, and eat in front of others, never offering any to others. (And no, this wasn’t a dietary issue it was a selfish, clueless issue).

I have witnessed a family prepare a meal and an adult guest wants a totally separate meal (like my little kiddos did - again not an allergy or health issue).  Y’all, we are TOO aware of our OWN wants and too used to getting what we want.  This is selfish. We are full of self and only the Lord can show us some of these issues.

If you have ever been to a third-world country, you will be able to concur with how Americans are so clueless to our selfishness; it comes across to others as arrogance because we are unaware of others. When traveling, I have seen people with NOTHING yet sharing ALL, it is humbling! We just don’t know how good we have it (my mom used to say); and honestly, most of us don’t.

My son went with his dad to a third world country. They were serving at an orphanage. The children there had two outfits; their day clothes and their night closes. Each child had ONE drawer in a dresser for ALL their possessions.  When guests were in town (like my son), all the children were served a “special” breakfast — “sugared” cereal. The children in the orphanage were SO excited to have guests and they wanted something to give; so they offered my son the “best” cereal; because they were givers.  My son was so convicted. He knew they had nothing yet they were giving the best to him.  He came home changed. We all should get to a third world country. It would do us some good. As we know, at this time, we can’t go to a third world country (as things are shut down) but there IS something we can do... we can learn to die to ourselves.

Many are calling for and asking Christians to fast... up to the election. There is SO much riding on the outcome of this election; maybe even life as we have known it. We are already in a different world since March; look at the blue cities and states and their response to the virus... what if America were blue? This alone is a reason we all need to vote, God help us!

I get it, Trump is flawed, but news flash; so are each one of us! Jesus open our eyes to see our logs of self-righteousness, arrogance, selfishness! Sin is sin people and we ALL fall short. Sometimes we only have a limited choice; but as Americans, we think it has to be what WE want. We like our choices.

Until you lose something, most of us don’t know how much we need to value it. Lord, wake us up!  Y’all, I don’t want to experience my mother’s life under a  tyrannical one-world government.

Lord we need a reformation and Lord, you always start the cleaning in YOUR house; the house of God (with believers)! Dear believer; awaken! We need to change. We need to become less self-aware. We need to let the Lord show us what we don’t see because if we saw, we would change. Clearly, we don’t see it!

We are so used to choice; our way, our likes, our opinions and we like choice after choice that it is easy to become cynical, disenfranchised, selfish, and self-centered. We can easily decide we don’t like the “choices” so then we decide we don’t vote. That again is the arrogance of how we think. We are spoiled.

We need to vote for those supporting Christian values.! If you can find no other reason to vote for someone (because you don’t like them) then vote for the candidates who will protect the unborn! The decision is that easy to see as there usually is only ONE person in each race that is pro-life.

We need a shift. We need less of us and more of God! Vote! Register at: MyFaithVotes.com.

God is moving on the heart of our President.  Listen! Here is a clip of some faith leaders in our nation talking about a prayer event that many Christian leaders from all over the nation recently had with the President.

Gaslighting

I found the following pieces of information on the internet and thought there was a lot of merit to the writing and the image. I will share the following in the content that I found them in.

“Have you ever asked yourself, ‘am I crazy?’ If you have ever asked yourself that, you’re not crazy. You’re most likely being gaslighted. Gaslighting is a form of psychological abuse aimed at controlling a person by altering reality to the point where the person will doubt their own sanity.

The term “gaslighting” comes from a 1930’s play called Gas Light. The main character in the play literally tries to drive his wife crazy by gradually dimming the gas-powered lights in their home. When she notices the lights dimming, her husband not only denies that the lights are dimming, he convinces her that she is imagining it to the point where she questions her own sanity.

We are living in a perpetual state of gaslighting. The reality that we are being told by the media is at complete odds with what we are seeing with our own two eyes. And when we question the false reality that we are being presented, or we claim that what we see is that actual reality, we are vilified as racist or bigots or just plain crazy. You’re not racist. You’re not crazy. You’re being gaslighted.

New York State has twice as many deaths from Covid-19 than any other state, and New York has accounted for one-fifth of all Covid-19 deaths, but we are told that New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has handled the pandemic better than any other governor. But if we support policies of Governors whose states had only a fraction of the infections and deaths as New York, we’re called anti-science and want people to die. So, we ask ourselves, am I crazy? No, you’re being gaslighted.

We see mobs of people looting stores, smashing windows, setting cars on fire, and burning down buildings, but we are told that these demonstrations are peaceful protests. And when we call this destruction of our cities, riots, we are called racists. So, we ask ourselves, am I crazy? No, you’re being gaslighted.

We see the major problem destroying many inner-cities is crime; murder, gang violence, drug dealing, drive-by shootings, armed robbery, but we are told that it is not crime, but the police that are the problem in the inner-cities. We are told we must defund the police and remove law enforcement from crime-riddled cities to make them safer. But if we advocate for more policing in cities overrun by crime, we are accused of being white supremacists and racists. So, we ask ourselves, am I crazy? No, you’re being gaslighted.

The United States of America accepts more immigrants than any other country in the world. The vast majority of the immigrants are “people of color”, and these immigrants are enjoying the freedom and economic opportunity not available to them in their country of origin, but we are told that the United States is the most racist and oppressive country on the planet, and if we disagree, we are called racist and xenophobic. So, we ask ourselves, am I crazy? No, you’re being gaslighted.

Capitalist countries are the most prosperous countries in the world. The standard of living is the highest in capitalist countries. We see more poor people move up the economic ladder to the middle and even the wealthy class through their effort and ability in capitalist countries than any other economic system in the world, but we are told capitalism is an oppressive system designed to keep people down. So, we ask ourselves, am I crazy? No, you’re being gaslighted.

Communist countries killed over 100 million people in the 20th century. Communist countries strip their citizens of basic human rights, dictate every aspect of their lives, treat their citizens as slaves, and drive their economies into the ground, but we are told that Communism is the fairest, most equitable, freest, and most prosperous economic system in the world. So, we ask ourselves, am I crazy?

No, you’re being gaslighted.

***The most egregious example of gaslighting is the concept of “white fragility”. You spend your life trying to be a good person, trying to treat people fairly and with respect. You disavow racism and bigotry in all its forms. You judge people solely on the content of their character and not by the color of their skin. You don’t discriminate based on race or ethnicity. But you are told you are a racist, not because of something you did or said, but solely because of the color of your skin. You know instinctively that charging someone with racism because of their skin color is itself racist. You know that you are not racist, so you defend yourself and your character, but you are told that your defense of yourself is proof of your racism. So, we ask ourselves, am I crazy? No, you’re being gaslighted.

Gaslighting has become one of the most pervasive and destructive tactics in American politics. It is the exact opposite of what our political system was meant to be. It deals in lies and psychological coercion, and not the truth and intellectual discourse. If you ever ask yourself if you’re crazy, you are not. Crazy people aren’t sane enough to ask themselves if they’re crazy. So, trust yourself, believe what’s in your heart. Trust our eyes over what we are told. Never listen to the people who tell you that you are crazy because you are not, you’re being gaslighted.”

Kevin Zadai on Sid Roth

Jesus gave Kevin Zadai this prayer during a 5 ½ hour encounter in heaven on 08-12-2020. In the vision, the Lord told Keven about the next 11 years. Kevin wanted all believers to pray this prayer together to accomplish God’s purposes for us, the believers. He said it was especially important for us to pray for ourselves and for the USA during this time before the election. Pray for God’s purposes to come forth to turn the enemy's plan back at the gate, to bring indictments, and bring forth righteousness in this nation. He said this is a very serious time.

If we, as the Body of Christ do not engage with our Father, we could easily see all hell being released through China’s weaponized bio-weapons over these next few months. Kevin said the Father has promised if we do our part, with intentionality we would see Roe vs. Wade overturned in our land and the curse to be lifted. This will help us fulfill our destiny as a nation and as His people.

Kevin said, pray this prayer through once, and you will witness for yourself how little the investment of your time and attention it is, but it will help you and serve the Lord’s purposes. Pray it every day, at least until the election. God bless you richly in all wisdom, knowledge, understanding, and may you be found with your lamp filled with oil.

(I have modified for easy recitation by you, the reader.)

______________________________________________________________

Father, in the name of Jesus, we pray for a Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation-Knowledge right now; that we would know experientially the hope to which we have been called and the glorious inheritance we possess as Your saints. Father, may we know and experience the same power that raised Jesus from the dead.

We pray that the Spirit of God would be able to speak the truth right now to each of us as believers, that we will hear and recognize Your voice. Father, we ask that You would show us our future and what our part is in this generation; in these times and seasons. Show us what we can do. Teach us how to bind and loose.

Father, we bind the evil now and we ask that righteousness would prevail and reign in-and-from this moment on, right now! Jesus, pull Your Sword! Bring to justice every evil; every agenda that is not of You; bring it down into captivity, to the obedience of Christ, right now! Suddenly’s released!

We pray for every leader. We pray for our President that the anointing of JOY be upon him and every leader in our nation. Let Your yoke-breaking power be upon them and your protection from the evil around them.

We pray that the justice system would have eyes that see into the spirit realm. As believer’s all over the world, we lay the ax (the weapon You have given us) at the root and we ask that You would dissect the evil and its power. Cut it off, Father. Separate the evil one from their ability to deceive and bring mayhem. We agree as touching this one thing.

Most importantly, Father, we repent. We take accountability for our actions and our beliefs and we turn our face back to You, Father, in sincere, obedient devotion. Heal our land. Heal our land. May the fire of the Holy Spirit consume every evil and the chaff in our lives and in the lives of those who are in leadership. You are a consuming FIRE.

Father, may the Spirit of prophecy start to work in our leadership where they start to speak by Your Spirit and their will is turned and they become a new person, living for You. Visit every household with FIRE.

Thank You for the JOY, Lord! Let Your will be DONE in these earthen vessels and upon and within the earth as it is written in heaven.

Father, strengthen Attorney General Barr and the entire team working for him with Your Spirit, Wisdom, Knowledge, Power, and Might that they may faithfully and fully execute all Your justice and judgments in our land.

Father, we pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

In the Name above all Names, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus! Amen.

Witches Invitation by Carman Licciardello

Back in the day, when I was in my late teens, early twenty's there was a Christian singer named, Carmen.  As far as I know, he only did Christian events after giving his heart to Christ and he is still around today, bringing the love of God to people through music. He has walked with the Lord for years now and has a gift for song-writing/story telling.

Years ago, an evangelist named Mario Murillo, was doing a chapel service at Oral Robert's University (ORU) and Carman (Licciardello) was also invited to the chapel, doing the worship.  Carmen stayed at the piano when Mario took the pulpit, just be ready if Mario wanted some back-up music so Carman now had a front-seat view to the story Mario was about to tell.

Mario started his time teaching with a story. He began talking about an invitation he had received from a man while preaching in the campus of the University of California, Berkley (Berkeley).  A man name Isaac Bonewits came up to Mario and began to compare his god (satan) to the God of Mario, Jehovah .

Mario found out later that Bonewits was one of the only people ever to receive an accredited bachelor of arts degree from Berkeley with a major in witchcraft.  Mario goes on to tell of how Bonewits left their meeting by giving him his business card inviting him to come and chat more regarding their "gods".  Mario never responded to this invite, so later, Bonewits actually sent a written invitation to Murillo to continue the conversation. Mario thought he would not go and meet him so he threw the invite in the trash but on the way to the can, the Lord told Mario that he should go and meet with him.  Here is the link to the full story of Mario sharing what happened regarding this invitation on the blog called Encounter Today.

Remember now that Carman was sitting there on the same stage with Mario as Mario is telling the whole story to the ORU students so being the great song-writer he is, he took the event and wrote a song. He named the song, Witches Invitation. Here is the link to the video of Carman at a live event, where he played the video, Witches Invitation.

I remember when this song came out and just loved it. I had no idea then that it was from a real event.  My mom used to listen to Mario Murillo back in the day, but I didn't know the two of them were connected until I came across this testimony by Mario last week.  This song was one of my favorites by Carman and many of the Christians I ran with at the time loved it as well.

From what Mario says, Carman did change the name of the character from his real name of Bonewits to Horowitz in the song but most of the other details follow perfectly the song to what Mario said happened; all except the closing words about  wanting to "rumble with a man of God".  Amazing!

So true! Our God has bought us with the blood of Jesus and satan has to let us go! Never a more true statement ever spoken!

The Turning 2020 - a 70 day prayer and fasting event.

As we approach the 2020 ELECTIONS. Let us join together, as ONE VOICE, and we pray for our nation. We are not just praying for revival but we are praying for a REFORMATION of men’s hearts throughout the world. We need the fire of the Holy Spirit to usher in a new era of awakening around the globe. Declare these verses with me!

A. As with any time of prayer, I encourage you to begin with Praising the Lord (Psalm 150:1-6, Psalms 95:1-11, Psalm 24:8-10) for who He is and what He has done! Greet Him by lavishing your love upon and to Him!

B. Then, ask the Lord to search your heart (ASK HIM TO SHOW YOU what you don’t see in your heart) to bring those hidden things to your attention; ANYTHING that is there that is blocking your prayers from being heard.

C. Then DEAL WITH WHAT HE TELLS YOU; this is called repentance. Repentance is what cleans us, making us righteous. It opens wide heaven’s gates which allows us entrance into the throne room of grace before our Holy and Righteous God. We MUST confess our sinthis is not a one-and-done (salvation) as many people have been taught; this is a CONTINUING conversation. For clarity, we all know about the “biggie” sins (10 commandments and such, and most of us stay clear of those — right?), but those sins are not the only sins needing repentance. The Word of the Lord says this in James 4:17 — to him who knows what is right and does it not, it is sin. This is why I say we need to ask the Lord to show us because we don’t always remember our sin, or we call it other things like; procrastination, forgetfulness, we didn’t think we needed to, it was important to us... you get the idea. Father, search my heart, and know me; see if there is any wicked way in me! — Psalms 139: 23-24. We give the Lord permission to KNOW us intimately.

D. Take Communion! I HIGHLY encourage you to be taking communion; as OFTEN as you do, you are REMEMBERING HIM and PROCLAIMING HIS COMING (I Corinthians 11:25-26, Matthew 26: 26-28, Luke 22:17-20)! It was the last thing our Lord did with His disciples so let’s do this in remembrance of ALL He has done!

E. And then they sang a hymn (Matthew 26:30). So let’s Worship Him in Spirit and in Truth – John 4:24 (PSALMS 95:6, Isaiah 12:5, Psalm 29:2, Psalm 95:1-6)!

F. Regarding fasting: I encourage you to ask the Lord what He would have you fast — invite Him into the conversation. We do all everything we do WITH THE LORD! We should never think we can do ANYTHING FOR the Lord (that’s works). We INVITE HIM into every conversation and ask Him... He DELIGHTS in talking with us, His children.

May you encounter the Lord in new and glorious ways during these days leading up to the election. This is our time of decision... and GOD IS FAITHFUL to those who seek Him (Deuteronomy 7:9, I Corinthians 1:9, Psalms 91:4, 2 Thessalonians 3:3)! Friends, let’s take time to FIND the Lord while He may be found! Maranatha

__________________________
The following is the list of scriptures that a friend, Ted Vanlandeghem created and shared. He called his declaration, "The Turning 2020 - 70 Days of Prayer and Fasting.  Join with me as we declare the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living!  Jesus come!

1. Psalm 85:6 ESV Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?

2. Isaiah 57:15 ESV For thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite.

3. Psalm 80:19 ESV Restore us, O Lord God of hosts! Let your face shine, that we may be saved!

4. 2 Chronicles 7:14 ESV If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

5. James 4:8 ESV Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

6. Ezekiel 37:1-14 ESV The hand of the Lord was upon me, and he brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord and set me down in the middle of the valley; it was full of bones. And he led me around among them, and behold, there were very many on the surface of the valley, and behold, they were very dry. And he said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” And I answered, “O Lord God, you know.” Then he said to me, “Prophesy over these bones and say to them, O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord. Thus says the Lord God to these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter you, and you shall live.

7. Habakkuk 3:2 ESV Lord, I have heard the report of you, and your work, O Lord, do I fear. In the midst of the years revive it; in the midst of the years make it known; in wrath remember mercy.

8. 2 Timothy 3:1-5 ESV But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.

9. Acts 2:1-47 ESV When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men from every nation under heaven.

10. Psalm 51:10 ESV Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.

11. Psalm 19:7 ESV The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.

12. II Timothy 4:3-4 ESV For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.

13. Ephesians 5:14 ESV For anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says, “Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”

14. Matthew 6:33 ESV But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

15. Acts 3:19-21 ESV Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus, whom heaven must receive until the time for restoring all the things about which God spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets long ago.

16. Isaiah 64:1-4 ESV Oh that you would rend the heavens and come down, that the mountains might quake at your presence— as when fire kindles brushwood and the fire causes water to boil— to make your name known to your adversaries, and that the nations might tremble at your presence! When you did awesome things that we did not look for, you came down, the mountains quaked at your presence. From of old no one has heard or perceived by the ear, no eye has seen a God besides you, who acts for those who wait for him.

17. Psalm 22:27 ESV All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations shall worship before you.

18. Isaiah 55:6-7 ESV “Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near; let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

19. Acts 3:19-20 ESV Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus.

20. Isaiah 40:28-31 ESV Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted, but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

21. Ephesians 5:14-21 ESV For anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says, “Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit.

22. Matthew 24:14 ESV And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

23. John 3:16-17 ESV “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

24. James 4:6 ESV But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

25. Jeremiah 6:16 ESV Thus says the Lord: “Stand by the roads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is; and walk in it, and find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’

26. Isaiah 6:5 ESV And I said: “Woe is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts!”

We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day; night is coming, when no one can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”

30. Ephesians 5:14-25 ESV For anything that becomes visible is light. Let us know; let us press on to know the Lord; his going out is sure as the dawn; he will come to us as the showers, as the spring rains that water the earth.” What shall I do with you, O Ephraim? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said, “I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and jewels and pearls, holding in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the impurities of her sexual immorality. This is not about the "new normal" but a "NEW ERA"

The Lord is speaking to me about the times and seasons we are living in. We have all heard many people talk about this lie called the "new normal". Those words just hit something in me, and in pursuing the Lord about it, I felt Him challenge me about what statements like this would look like, if we were sitting around heaven and talking about what is going on. God ALWAYS gives us an upgrade. His latter is always greater. He makes things new. Old things pass away and behold, He makes ALL THINGS NEW. So I began to explore this with the Lord. In doing so, he took me to a couple places in scriptures and He used the wording, a New Era.

Let's dive into Mark 4:1-13, The Parable of the Sower — Again Jesus began to teach by the lake. The crowd that gathered around him was so large that he got into a boat and sat in it out on the lake, while all the people were along the shore at the water’s edge.
2 He taught them many things by parables, and in his teaching said:
3 “Listen! A farmer went out to sow his seed.
4 As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up.
5 Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow.
6 But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root.
7 Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants, so that they did not bear grain.
8 Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up, grew and produced a crop, some multiplying thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times.”
9 Then Jesus said, “Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear.

10 When he was alone, the Twelve and the others around him asked him about the parables.
11 He told them, “The secret of the kingdom of God has been given to you. But to those on the outside everything is said in parables
12 so that, “ ‘they may be ever seeing but never perceiving, and ever hearing but never understanding; otherwise they might turn and be forgiven!’ ”

13 Then Jesus said to them, “Don’t you understand this parable? How then will you understand any parable?
14 The farmer sows the word.
15 Some people are like seed along the path, where the word is sown. As soon as they hear it, Satan comes and takes away the word that was sown in them.
16 Others, like seed sown on rocky places, hear the word and at once receive it with joy.
17 But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away.
18 Still others, like seed sown among thorns, hear the word;
19 but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things come in and choke the word, making it unfruitful.
20 Others, like seed sown on good soil, hear the word, accept it, and produce a crop—some thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times what was sown.

The point I want to bring to your attention is what is the "soil" of your life and what does it look like? When treasures of the Kingdom are released unto you, which type of soil is reflective in your life. Jesus spoke this parable and then later on in the evening, the disciples wanted to gain understanding of what He was sharing. Jesus starts with, if you can't understand this parable, you will have a hard time understanding ANY parable. WOW - seems there is something rather important in this text we need to grasp and it is foundational to unlocking the things to come. Jesus goes on to compare PEOPLE with the seed. as soon as people hear the Word that is sown, something starts to happen, just like a seed in the ground. Jesus starts with the seed sown along the path and tells them that this is just like people but rather than the birds of the air stealing the seed, Jesus says it is Satan himself who comes to steal the Word of God from us. The second scenario in the parable is about the seed that fell on the rocky places, where the seed tried to spring up, but because there was no root (or deep soil) the plants spouted but died under the heat of the environment. Jesus said this is like people who hear the Word with joy, but because they are young in the Lord, or not discipled, they have no root and after a short time, when trouble or persecution comes int their life, they fall away.

The third example was the seed that is sown among thorns, these seeds get choked out by the "thorns". These are people who hear the Word but still maintain their worldly ways. They think they are ok being among the thorns. When we come to Christ and new revelation of His ways, that usually requires a shift on our part because we are not like Him. We need to cut off things that are deadly or thought processes that are apart from God. We need to turn. People who don't shift away have mixture, and eventually the things of God get choked out of the lives because of the thorns growing next to them.

Lastly we have the seed that is sown in the GOOD soil. This soil is a teachable heart. This soil is a heart that desires God at all costs. This heart shifts and turns and obeys. When we allow God to have His way in our heart, then we grow and produce good fruit; a fruit that remains. We want to be like the seed that lands in the GOOD SOIL and produces a GREAT, MULTIPLYING harvest. We choose these soils. We have a part to play.
We need the Lord to renew our minds, change our way of thinking. We need to shift from living from our soul (our mind, our will, and our emotions) to living from our Born Again Spirit.

Ephesians 3:19 ... and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.

Colossians 2:9-10For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form, ad in Him, you have been made complete, and His is the head over all rule and authority.

James 1:22-25 — Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it - not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it - they will be blessed in what they do.

What is incredible to me is how God is speaking around the globe pieces of what He is doing. Just this week I read these following two words from two separate Godly women. They speak into this same theme as well. God is moving; even when we can't see Him!

WE NEED PERSONAL DELIVERANCE BEFORE WE CAN GET NATIONAL DELIVERANCE
by Wanda Alger, August 20, 2020

We are dealing with major principalities in this nation and across the earth. Religious and political spirits are clogging up the system and binding up the Church with endless rules and protocols that are silencing our witness. The Jezebel spirit is manifesting through politicians and tyrannical leaders given to greed and power, and their witchcraft is fueling increased lawlessness and anarchy. Leviathan is overwhelming our senses with futility, confusion, and a fear of impending doom. These demonic strongholds must come down and displaced by those who carry legitimate authority from heaven.

The challenge is that many believers are being oppressed and harassed by these spirits and it is limiting our corporate authority in prayer. Through my own deliverance from these spirits several years ago, I learned just how easy it is for even Spirit-filled believers to get hooked by these ungodly mindsets due to negative experiences and offenses. Once delivered and set free, I saw an immediate upgrade in my intercession and an increase of authority against these powers and principalities.

If we want to see the Religious spirit defeated, we have to give up our own sacred cows and methods of ministry. Our revelations from yesterday may need to be adjusted to make room for Holy Spirit to give us an upgrade for today. We must cut the unhealthy soul ties with our past and clear the way for a transforming future.

If we want to see Jezebel defeated, we have to repent of the ways we have rebelled against our leaders, especially in the Church. The spirit of rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and as long as believers hold on to offenses against leaders who have done them wrong, we will never have legitimate authority to displace wicked rulers or demonic hordes.

If we want to be free of Leviathan's grip that suffocates our witness, confuses our clarity, and robs us of faith, we have to renounce our fears and our need to understand everything. Our trust cannot be in the systems of men or our own human reasoning. Only God reigns supreme and His Kingdom ways are much higher than ours.

Yes, we must bind and loose, rebuke and renounce, and take a righteous stand. But, we must also clear out our own closets. We have been given spiritual authority over the works of darkness, but its up to us to remove any roadblocks that prevent us from using it.

And finally, there is this word... IT IS THE LORD CHANGING THE TABLES

by Lana Vawser, August 20, 2020

Recently I had an encounter with the Lord and I saw Jesus and He was walking up to His people that were sitting at tables and I knew that these tables represented ALIGNMENTS and MODELS. As He walked up to these tables He began to speak to His people and He said "It is time to CHANGE TABLES"

Immediately I was surrounded by the sense of the new era we have entered and the importance of drawing close to the Lord and hearing His voice and leading for where we are aligned, how we are aligned, and how we are to build with Him. The sense surrounded me so strongly that the "model" of how things have been done, is rapidly changing. The Lord has been speaking to me for years about the changing of the wineskin and the time that was coming upon us in a new era where we would have to follow Him and know His ways to move into the new thing that He was going to do (Isaiah 43:19) that would be completely unprecedented.

Now, in this encounter, what struck me was the weight upon the voice of the Lord when He spoke "It's TIME to change tables". I began to see other tables that were set for the people of God in this new era. New strategies, new ways of doing things, a new 'model', and new 'alignments' with people.

This encounter was communicating in SO many ways, the IMPORTANCE of alignment in this hour and be aligned with Jesus in our hearts, our deeds, our actions, our obedience, our lives, our ministries. Every area of our lives to be in total alignment with Him and not to 'remain at a table' because that's where we have always sat or how it has always been.

The Lord has had me release this prophetic word to encourage the people of God, to not stay in the comfortable or familiar seat because of fear of what others with think, fear of offending people, fear of the new. The truth is, the tables that the Lord has set before His people in this new era are more glorious than ever before and the Lord showed me that many are feeling a 'heavy oppressive frustration' right now and the 'ease' that once was, is no longer, and that is because it's time to change tables. It's time to take your seat a new table.

I heard the Lord say "Don't apologise for changing tables and don't make excuses for having to change tables". When He spoke those words I could feel this very strong sense of the fear of man that would be the hurdle that many would need to overcome in taking their place at the new tables. Follow in the leading of the Holy Spirit into these new tables and embrace them with everything you have.

I also saw the beautiful comfort of the Holy Spirit embracing those who are changing tables and coming out of alignment with people they have built with before and moving into new ventures with the Lord and the sadness in the heart that comes with the 'breaking away'. The comfort of the Holy Spirit is upon you and He is pouring His love, peace, and refreshing upon you as you move to the new tables the Lord has for you.

I saw Jesus sitting at the new tables and He was waiting for His people to take their seat. As many begun to come and take their seat at the new tables with the Lord, I was struck with the depth of encounter that happened at those tables with the Lord. The encounters looking into the fiery eyes of Jesus that were so deep and so intimate.

The new tables await you. Don't be afraid to move to the new tables. It requires obedience, boldness, and courage. Don't stay at the same table because of comfort or fear. You want to be at the table Jesus is sitting at and calling you into, for there you will find Him.

You want to be sitting with Jesus at the table He is calling you to. It's time to take your seat at the new tables.

In closing, the Lord reminded me of Moses as he led the people out of Egypt.  They continually grumbled and wanted to go back to Egypt.  The didn't trust the Lord with the NEW, what was before them, the upgrade.  Let us not be the same as the Israelites.  We too have come through a Passover, and we too are in the desert.  Let us not make a 40 day journey into 40 years! Let us take time to find the Lord in this NEW era!  Hebrews 10:39
